School Nurses Train School Faculty to Save Lives

System faculty are certified during the two days of training.
Teachers, coaches, secretaries and other representatives from all East
Baton Rouge Parish public schools participated in cardiopulmonary resuscitation
(CPR) training Wednesday and Thursday hosted by Health Care Centers
in Schools.
Trainings were held at the Child Nutrician Center, Baton Rouge General
- Mid City and the East Side Fire Department.
Over 120 participants watched videos and gained hands on experience
in first aid, Heimlich, and CPR. The certification process is done through
the American Red Cross and the American Heart Association.
